Give your product a clear but interesting title to grab your customers attention.
There are currently 3 different types of product which you can create for your store. Each type will give you different attributes such as colour, sizes etc. It’s important to choose the correct product type which best matches the product which you want to sell.
This type of product is simple and will contain no variants and are best used for single stand-alone products which do not require any other details to define variants such as colours or sizes.
This type of product has different types of variants. For example, you might want to sell an item which comes in different sizes or colours. This product type will allow you to define the variations between the products so that your customers can select these when they are buying your item. It’s possible to add your own variations for your own products.
This product type allows you to group a collection of simple product types. If you would like to sell a collection of items together which are the same, a group product can make this possible.
Adding A SKU code and managing the stock count of your products can be managed from the inventory. These fields aren’t mandatory but can help you when tracking your items and also managing the stock levels for your store. An SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit and is a unique set of characters or ID for your product. It is useful to create a pattern for your SKU and use this pattern when adding SKU’s for your product, for example, TJR458713654.
Let’s say you have 10 pieces of the product and you don’t want to receive after orders are placed for 10 units. If you enable stock management and enter 10 in the quantity field, then after 10 units are ordered, this product will show a message that all the quantities are sold and there is no stock.
But, you might want to take some pre-orders before your next batch comes up. So you can Allow Back Order to let the customers place orders even if the product is out of stock.
